TBT S$1.80 for tiny cup of barley water

Banquet is a m&d kopitiam...... non-m&ds pay a higher price.

Was at another foodcourt at HDB HUB this morning...... order one plate of white rice with bagedil, petai and sotong kenna charged $4.70...... my m&d friend saw me eating so sedap cannot tahan so he went to order same thing...... he pay only $3.00 + he got bigger piece of sotong some more.

Afterwards went to ask the makcik why did she overcharged me..... she reply my friend is "member" so got discount....... what member I asked the makcik as my friend does not work for HDB....... makcik replied he is kakilang lah.... you go sunat & convert I oso give u discout loh..... want? :(

Agree with you most Malay people do support their own kind and charge lower. But Chinese killing each other even their own kin for profit. Malay will never eat in Chinese hawker or restuarant even if is HALAL only small minority do eat in Chinese establish.

Most Malay eatery doesn't increase price even if ingredient price up even is up only by small eg. 20 cent(about 10%) not like Chinese up 50 cent( almost 20~30%).

banquet is actually chinese boss who set up halal food court to earn their money.

portion wise of course same language can get more, the same for other foodcourt with prc staff giving bigger serving and cheaper price to prc also.

As for this ah mei, my 1st try and i get sour coffee, i ask them why is it sour? they say it's like that. That was my 1st and last which was 3 years ago.

They also have something call banquet signature, a small unit selling beverage, pratas and some chinese noodles. There was once i made an order for pratas and tea. After 10 mins my prata is still not here and after checking, the cashier did not inform the "prata department" to start production for me. Another 10 mins later, they serve me the wrong type and quantity of prata. I tell them I want to cancel and that cashier happily refund me and continue her smsing.
