Tanglin Halt Food Centre To End Operations 31 July 2022.​

Some Stalls Will Move To Margaret Drive Hawker Centre.​

For those who have not been here before, there are two food centres – one called “Tanglin Halt Food Centre” at 1A;
and Tanglin Halt Market diagonally across at Block 48A.

Famous stalls at the octagon-shaped Tanglin Halt Food Centre include Hakka Thunder Tea, Tong Kee Chicken Rice,
Tian Xiang Wanton Mee, and No. 1 Western Food;

and those at Tanglin Halt Market are Tanglin Halt Original Peanut Pancake, Jiu Ye, and Cheng Mei Shi Lor Mee (just to name a few).

Nothing can stop the flow of big money. Next generation most likely end up eating at food franchises.
If these hawkers are smart, they should start opening branches like subway and kfc.
