The Thye Hua Kwan Problem Gambling Recovery Centre and the National Addictions Management Service (NAMS) at the Institute of Mental Health saw 1,000 more cases of problem gambling in the last three years compared to the three-year period prior, Minister for Social and Family Development Tan Chuan-Jin said in Parliament on Tuesday (Jul 14).

Mr Tan said the two key service points for treatment saw a combined total of 2,700 cases between 2012 and 2014 - almost 60 per cent more than the number seen between 2009 and 2011.

“The increase is due partly to greater public education efforts, which have raised awareness on problem gambling and encouraged help-seeking behaviour,” he said.

Why did he not mention that it was PAP with George Yeo that allowed 2 Casinos in Singapore? Instead he blamed it on some other "awareness"......

Those are integrated resorts. There's a big difference.

Its only truly integrated when you drop by for a kidneu auction to the highest bidder in exchamge for 2 hours of dice rolling. Alternatively one can also offer feesh alabone packed in hymen

It is time they open a Recovery Centre for Foot-in-Mouth Disease, something which is causing citizens a lot of grief.

that's what they want cruise ships to be known as, with integrated facilities for families etc but are just floating casinoes.....
same same but (very small) difference

Must always leave no man behind, moving ahead, together forever or whatever latest slogan they have concocted in their ivory towers while reading survey results about cardboard collectors.:D
