(Video) Oops! Taiwanese Singer Jeff Chang Swallows Mosquito Mid-Performance

The singer was mid-performance at his concert in Yantai, China when a mosquito suddenly flew into his mouth. As shown in a video of the scene, Jeff was surprised by the sudden intrusion and began coughing the mosquito out.
Thankfully, the singer got the insect out of his mouth without much issue. While the incident left Jeff visibly flustered, the 57-year-old quickly regained his composure and continued with the performance.

After finishing the song, Jeff immediately assured the concert audience that he was alright, explaining what had happened to him. Despite his initial reaction, the star seemed unbothered by the mosquito, even joking that he “consumed extra vitamins” in the middle of his show. Funnily enough, this wasn’t the first time this had happened to Jeff because another mosquito had flown into his mouth during a show in Jinan last year.
Jeff also remembered the previous incident as he brought it up during his speech. Since both incidents happened while performing in the Shandong province, Jeff also jokingly thanked the province for the “gifts”. He quipped, “Thank you, Shandong! For giving me an extra protein supplement. No wonder I have great stamina!” Both netizens and fans at the concert hall shared their amusement at the incident and the vocalist’s witty remark.

Netizens also applauded Jeff for continuing his performance without making a huge scene.
While it was an unfortunate incident, it’s good that Jeff didn’t let the mosquito stop him from putting on a great show for his fans.
