從閉路電視片段中可見，該名身穿紅衣的女童由26樓的住所直墮地下的停車場，並撞破底層車棚。然而在女童落地後幾秒，竟可自行爬起，並獨自步行離開現場。女童事後被熱心的民眾及其家屬送院救治，經經診斷後僅右手骨折，無生命危險，目前仍在接受治療。據了解，女童家人在女童熟睡後外出，並將其反鎖於家中，女童醒後疑因無法開門，而爬出窗口，因而釀成意外。

從屋苑閉路電視所拍的片段可見，身穿紅衣的女孩由住宅直墮地下的停車場，車棚被她撞穿一個大洞。惟女童落地幾秒後，竟可移走壓着自己的鐵皮站起來，步行離開事發現場。
據了解，女童父母趁她熟睡時外出，將其反鎖在家。女孩醒後不見父母，爬出窗口，卻不慎墮樓，幸鐵棚抵銷其墮樓衝擊力，令她檢回一命。

綜合陸媒報導，事情發生在2日，家住在重慶南川某個小社區的女童，午覺睡醒後找不到家人，加上家門又被反鎖，女童迷迷糊糊地爬出窗戶，因此，才會不小心從26樓墜落。根據監視器畫面可見，穿著紅色衣服的女童，從高樓重重地摔在停車場的遮雨棚上，造成遮雨棚破了一個大洞，令人感到奇蹟的是，女童經歷一場驚心動魄的意外，下秒竟淡定地自己爬起來，小碎步地離開事發現場。

附近居民聽到巨大聲響，趕緊跑到外頭查看，並將女童送醫急救，經檢查後發現女童只有右手骨折，沒有生命危險，目擊者心慌地說「真的是太嚇人了，我們看到心都揪起來了」，社區管理員也透露，「不幸中的萬幸，還好有遮雨棚接住了，撿回了一條命」。
