Taiwanese villagers from Hsinchu County who were unhappy with how the SAF artillery training exercises have affected their lives, protested for SAF to get out of their country.

Protestors delivered a protest letter to a Taiwan military personnel who later clarified that these protesters were a minority and they protested due to a dispute over land compensation made in 1985. The military personnel said that these protestors did not have a valid legal claim and it is regrettable that they have resorted to such disruptive actions.

The disgruntled villagers proceeded to stage a similar protest outside the Singapore Representative Office in Taipai.
