權利車常涉貸款糾紛，最怕被「賞金獵人」盯上；專門協尋積欠銀行貸款車的張姓男子說，市面上欠貸款車超過兩萬輛，約三千輛成為權利車，買權利車要隨時提防半途被拖走，他們曾碰到尋獲的車載運遺體或車上有人燒炭自殺的窘境。
張姓男子尋車廿一年，他說每天出門前，都會先更新銀行提供的欠款車籍資料再開始找車。通常，每幫銀行尋回一輛車，「賞金獵人」可獲一萬三千元獎金，扣除油料、拖吊、複製新鑰匙等費用，獲利約七千元。
他說，幾年前曾發現一輛權利廂型車，聯絡拖吊車跟蹤廿分鐘後，趁車主下車後立即貼封條拖走，依程序在路面寫上拖吊說明、銀行聯絡電話；沒想到廂型車拖回保管場不久，就接到銀行來電要求將廂型車拖回原地，因為「裡面東西沒辦法處理！」
張不敢多問，且因車門貼封條、無法察看，只能再將車拖回原處；一到現場，車主就上前大罵，「這是禮儀社接送車，後車廂有遺體，才下車接師父，你們怎麼把車拖走了！」令張非常尷尬。
另名賞金獵人老馬說，買權利車或欠貸不繳的車主多半有苦衷，去年曾發現一輛權利車停路邊，吊起車頭才發現後座躺一個人，前座有燒完的炭爐；他雖立即報警，但仍晚了一步。
老馬說，近年愈來愈多人買權利車，除了汽車，還有重機，市場價格也上漲；過去權利車價約市價一到兩成，去年部分車款已漲到市價三成以上。
