花730億蓋30年！「窮人高速公路」預計年底全線通車

被稱為「窮人高速公路」的西濱快速道路開始興建近30年，總經費高達730億元，但部分路段至今無法通車，現在終於傳出好消息！公路總局指出，西濱快預計今年底就能全線通車，屆時除可帶動沿線發展，並能有效紓解車流，提升居民用路安全，另台9線蘇花改、南迴公路也可望在明年春節前完工。
公路總局副局長許鉦漳今(26日)表示，西濱快計畫總經費為730億元，目前未通車路段為彰化芳苑交流道至大城交流道，及新竹新豐交流道至鳳鼻隧道，預計今年底全線通車，通車後可消彌平面交叉路口衝突點、降低肇事率，還能促進區域內工業與觀光經濟發展，同時分散車流，提升地區民眾通行安全。

至於外界關注的台9線蘇花公路改善工程，其中蘇澳東澳段已於去年2月5日通車，南澳和平段及和中大清水段，則預計於明年春節前通車。公總強調，蘇花改全線通車後，可望提振宜花地區觀光旅遊事業，增加道路容量、提高行車速率，更重要的是，提供東部民眾一條安全回家的幸福公路。
另一方面，台9線南迴公路拓寬改善後續計畫，目前共分3路段執行，香蘭金崙段預計於今年7月31日通車，金崙大鳥段和安朔草埔段預計年底通車；公總相信，全線通車後能增加道路容量，提高行車速率，同時大幅拉近台東與屏東間的距離，對提振2地區觀光旅遊事業有正面助益。
