Taiwan is already an independent country :)

Here are six concrete reasons Taiwan functions as an independent country, regardless of disputed sovereignty claims:
  1. Effective self-rule - Taiwan has its own government that exercises full control over its territory and population, with no PRC involvement.
  2. Separate constitution and legal system - Taiwan operates under the Republic of China Constitution, with independent courts, laws, and enforcement.
  3. Democratic legitimacy - Taiwan holds free, competitive elections and peaceful transfers of power, unlike the PRC system.
  4. Independent military - Taiwan maintains its own armed forces and defense policy, not subordinate to Beijing.
  5. Distinct economy and currency - Taiwan issues its own currency, sets fiscal policy, and trades globally as a separate customs and economic entity.
  6. Independent international operations - Taiwan issues passports, controls immigration, and enters agreements under its own authorities, even when excluded from formal recognition.
Bottom line: by international law criteria of statehood, Taiwan clearly qualifies in practice.
It must amend its constitution first with regards to mainland china sovereignty. Right now, both CPC and kuomintang ( Taiwan} claim the rightful ruler of all of china.. Hence the scramble for legitimacy by getting countries to recognise either one as the true ruler of china.

The ROC government, led by Chiang Kai-shek, did not pursue independence as it claimed to be the sole legitimate government of all China(1949 - 1971). Although there were proposals for "dual representation" in the United Nations (both the PRC and ROC), Chiang firmly rejected any notion of "two Chinas" or "one China, one Taiwan." His primary objective remained the "retaking of the mainland." In 1971, with the adoption of UN Resolution 2758, the People's Republic of China (PRC) was officially recognized as the sole legitimate representative of China.

WHO LEGITIMATISE a government?

Flawed and corrupted UN, or the PEOPLE living in the landmass known in English term as China under the tyrannical, corrupted, brutal and savage commies whom called themselves as People's Republic of China in English for a Worldwide audience, but is only ANOTHER dynasty in the 5000 years recorded history of China, Zhong Dynasty - a far worse - proven failed ideology for decades under the commie flag of ZhongQuo (中国) ?

A corrupted society cannot progress as quickly as what China experienced after Mao
