據《蘋果日報》報導,王男過去在華航擔任機長,還是機師教官,充滿主見的他時常會在部落格分享自己的工作,還撰寫華航內部的敏感問題,因此引起高層不滿,為了保住工作,當時他只好關閉部落格,後來與華航合約到期,他便前往韓籍航空公司任職,已經長達10年的時間。
王男委屈地透露:「只是在網路貼文透露疲勞駕駛的痛苦和支持工會的文字,難以理解這如何影響飛安,想禁運誰就禁運誰,讓我以為我在北韓。」他於2017年底在網路上訂票,雖然成功買到華航機票,事後到松山機場的華航櫃檯時,才被告知他在華航禁運名單中,無法登機,讓趕著出國洽公的他只好立即改買別家航空的機票。

儘管有這次的經驗,王男還是不死心,陸續試了好幾次,最後都會被告知無法登機,讓他非常錯愕,向華航反映後,才得知自己已被停權,且完全沒有事先知會,甚至沒有任何書面文件,也沒經過合法程序,就連過去多次搭乘華航累積的里程數也一夕消失。
最令王男不滿的是,華航對待他像是對待通緝犯,將他的姓名、身份證字號、護照號碼等個資都外傳,要各機場的華航櫃台阻止他登機,儘管想向高層反映,但對方卻不理不睬,還將他禁運到2100年1月1日,整整82年的時間,他要活到135歲時才能搭乘華航,等於是終生禁運。

對於華航「私自用刑」的行為,王男感到十分氣憤,他根本不知道華航指的抨擊飛安言論是指甚麼,唯一能聯想到的,只有他在網路文章提及自己飛行經驗,他在文中寫到當時他因時差無法入眠,但台灣飛行上限可達10小時,飛行員不能合法在駕駛艙睡覺,讓他的某趟飛行痛不欲生,最後是靠意志力降落。
消基會董事長游開雄表示,大眾運輸工具若無正當理由不能拒絕運送,拒絕前須提出正當理由,若旅客已買好機票,形同契約已成立,若不履約,可向民航局投訴或走法律途徑,若前員工有逾越合理評論分界,航空公司未寄出存證信函,就不作聲直接禁運,也未具體說明禁運理由,恐有差別待遇。

根據華航公告運輸條款,經書面通知旅客不提供運輸服務後,華航有權拒載旅客及其行李。如果旅客在拒載通知生效後試圖登機,華航將會予以拒載。為此民航局也透露,法規並無針對禁運黑名單有明確規定,航空公司運送契約應有不能搭乘規定,這些都要事先說清楚,若旅客認為不符比例原則,可以向民航局或消保官申訴,也可走法律訴訟申請民事損害賠償。
