有網友在《爆料公社》PO出影片，只見1名女子掉落在手扶梯旁的防護網上，航警獲報前往將女子抬出網外，地上還可清楚看見血跡，據目擊網友表示，事發當時疑似女方阻止男子出國爆發口角，男子隨即以公主抱的方式將女子直接丟下樓，沒多久男的也跟著跳下，嚇壞目擊民眾。
據《蘋果》報導，警方初步調查2人是亞裔美籍人（皆為30多歲），女子阻止男子出國爆發口角後，男子竟直接將女子公主抱，從4樓旁的階梯往下丟，疑過程中女子拉扯男子，才導致男子跟著跌落至1樓，經送醫救治皆無生命危險，至於詳細案情仍待2人傷勢穩定後才能釐清。

桃園機場18日凌晨驚傳墜樓意外，有一男一女從二航廈的手扶梯從4樓摔落到2樓，並堆疊在2樓的防護網上，機場人員緊急將他們送醫。有目擊者在爆料公社上指出，他先是聽到女生大叫後，就看到人墜落在防護網上，之後另一人也墜落，甚至還狠狠地撞到手扶梯，懷疑是恐怖情人下的重手。但由於目前雙方均治療中，詳細事發過程仍待警方釐清。
有網友18日凌晨傳了影片與照片給臉書粉絲團爆料公社，表示目擊桃園機場二航廈發生墜樓事故，滿地血跡。影片中現場驚呼連連，大家不斷在問「怎麼辦？」「怎麼會這麼大聲？」而據影片中旁人的討論，一開始以為是大人與小孩不慎摔落，後來才發現其中一人是一名女性，還有一名國外口音的男子在影片中說：「男生丟了女生」、「我看到，真的！」
該則貼文下面也有兩名目擊網友表示，一對男女疑似發生爭吵，男生就狠狠地推了女生一把，女生失足大叫，並從4樓的手扶梯摔下來，過了大約30秒後，看到另外一人自己往下跳，中間甚至撞到手扶梯，然後墜落到女方身上，兩人就這樣堆疊在2樓的防護網上。網友懷疑，這疑似是恐怖情人下的重手，後來想同歸於盡才跟著跳下來，「女生真的摔的很嚴重，希望她能保住一命」。
而根據《蘋果日報》報導，這對男女發生爭吵的原因疑似是女方不斷阻止男方出國，男方一氣之下用公主抱的方式將女方抱起並往下丟，沒過多久後自己也往下跳。
桃機航警在第一時間就趕到現場，試圖將兩人從防護網上移到平地，但從影片中可看到，女方顯然已毫無意識、身體癱軟，因此腳被防護網給勾住，讓航警花了好大一番功夫才將她移開並送醫。
