A machete-wielding man in Bangkok, Thailand was arrested on Mar. 20 after he allegedly followed a woman into her home and tried to rape her.
According to Siam News, the incident occurred at a two-storey rented unit in the city's Taling Chan district.
He was allegedly hallucinating after consuming a large amount of drugs.
The man, who was apparently on drugs, later held the knife against himself before falling from the second floor when the police arrived.
Woman distracted him to escape
CCTV footage shared by Thailand news outlet Thai Ch8 showed the woman walking towards a residential building.
Another man, barefoot and clad in a t-shirt with patterned pants, emerged shortly while allegedly wielding a machete.
He then apparently tailed the woman into the building and went uptairs.
The woman briefly stopped in her tracks along the corridor.
However, the man closely followed her.
He opened the door to a unit before entering it, but the woman lingered outside.
Other residents later lodged a report with the local authorities.
The video subsequently showed a group of armed police officers slowly approaching the unit, before several people exited it.
