Who has done it ?
I have swop out my old hdd and installed a new ssd hddto run. I potentially save $1000.

me too. install ssd to my 11 yo lappy with only max 8gd ram. now run like speedy gonzales

Just install the new HDD and the laptop feels so new.
Upload all picture and photo into cloud.
Lappy feel so light

Same. All my pics n docs r in cloud. Of cos very impt docs still in my drive but link to cloud.
Backup to my another portable drive periodically

It’s a smart upgrade. Ssd speed is more important than processor speed.

You go SIm lim, i ask people to do when circuit breaker period. It's a good upgrade. It make your laptop so zippy.
