I refer to the article published in TRE on Apr 29, 2015 titled: Lim: SG risks regressing to ‘just a normal country’.
It’s time to wake up from your nonsense, Mr Zorro Lim Swee Say. Singaporeans are not daft nor dumb and are really regretting and repenting for voting in the PAP in GE2011. The hard truth is that Singapore has already regressed since you and the current team in Government led by PM Lee Hsien Loong has been in charge. AND THE TRUTH HURTS!
As the Chief of NTUC, which is supposed to be the guardian of workers’ rights in Singapore, there has been no worthy comment or apprehensive action from you regarding the many Singaporeans replaced in jobs by foreign employees holding certifications from known degree mills. You have failed in your job miserably, the job handed to you by PM Lee Hsien Loong, which is indirectly entrusted to you by the citizen voters who go through huge effort to obtain genuine certificates, experiences and qualifications.
Mr Lim Swee Say, you are entrusted with a job to ensure Singaporean employees are fairly treated in work place, upgraded in skills regularly, adequately paid, etc. By telling us Singaporeans that we risk regressing, for example, due to skills has instead revealed that you have failed as a leader in the following aspects:
1. Failed to keep abreast of international developments or trends.
2. Failed to communicate and co-ordinate with other Government Boards, like Education, Trade, Technology, etc.
3. Failed to follow-up and understand the needs of the local industries.
4. Failed to protect and upkeep the interests of local citizens in employment.
5. Failed as an MP to ensure your many employee electorates are gainfully employed.
6. Failed as an MP to question the legitimacies of Government related offices, like IDA, NYP, etc. in the employment of foreigners bearing bogus certificates.
7. Failed as a Singaporean who is voted into Public Office to protect the Rights of Singaporeans!
Unless it is the wishes of your electorates to have voted you, Mr Lim Swee Say to part time as a clown dressing as Zorro, snitching toothpicks, etc. instead of looking after their well being, to borrow an infamous blurt from your PAP comrades, “I REALLY DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY”, it serves us right then! Yup, we deserved it...
