YANGON : Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi will travel to Thailand next week in her first trip abroad in 24 years to attend the World Economic Forum on East Asia, her spokesman said yesterday.
Myanmar President Thein Sein will also attend the Bangkok forum from Wednesday to Friday and is scheduled to deliver a speech.
Mrs Suu Kyi and 42 members of her National League for Democracy won seats in parliament in a by-election on April 1.
