nascar has strict rules on engine type, size, use of carburetor instead of fuel injection, weight of car, size of wheels, etc. the sedan is modified to 2-door, other seats and accessories stripped out, and car loaded with electronic sensors and cams for performance measurement and monitoring. the gs will not qualify, but nonetheless the modified camry is so sup'ed up that it is in name only although the styling is unmistakably camry. by the way, the headlights are non-existent; they're paint.
