Singapore makes value added stuff. A piece of paper known as COE costs more than a car. That's what Peesai makes! And very successful too, people have been bidding for this for many years already, price goes up does not deter the buyers.

Proton will be selling electric vehicles by 2014, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed told Parliament yesterday. The national car company is currently collaborating with UK-based Frazer-Nash Research to develop its own EV.
 
Guarantee that their supercar cannot go beyond 100 mph. Too many bad roads, potholes and bone-jarring longitudinal cracks that make many foreign drivers think they had suffered a flat.:eek:
