Bill Gates has offered to adopt an entire village in India.
The Microsoft chief has said he will personally adopt a village in Bihar while he is visiting the state this week.
He said he wanted to adopt Gularia village to help improve socio-economic conditions and provide basic amenities, such as running water, electricity, schools and health centres.
The philanthropist is currently in India accompanied by the officials of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Gates is also scheduled to meet Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the state capital to discuss development issues and changes taking place for the poor.
