Sultans of Swing - 11 minute version!!!

Mark Knopfler has got to be one of the greatest guitarist of all time...

he's living testimony that you can be ugly and can't sing, but can play the guitar and write a few tunes, and you'll be set for life.

Mark Knopfler's secret is that he learned to play the guitar like a banjo. Not with 2 fingers holding a pick, but with multiple fingers. that is why he is so fast. The riff at the end of this song is so fast it sounds like an arrangement of 2 guitars or more.

surprisingly his networth only 95 millions,
would have thought at least 300 millions for such a great icon,
guess he dont really give a fuck about money

The Mark Knopfler finger picking style is to just use three digits. Thumb, index and middle fingers. Anchor ring finger and pinky on the guitar body. Much like Paul McCartney. Only need three digits to coax out beautiful tunes. And you can tell these are self taught musicians, because any guitarist who's been through formal lessons would tell you that's the wrong finger technique.

Here's why I guess...

Any of you older guys recognize this legendary guitarist?

I don't know about that... wrong for electric guitar maybe. Flamenco guitarists use all 5 fingers sometimes, 4 fingers all the time.

Another is Jimi Hendrix.
The guy playing Eric Clapton's crossroads is a Sinkee Goh Tee Haut or Rex Goh, former Air Supply band member. He was born in 1951 in Aljunied Road.
