The police yesterday released their annual crime statistics.
Over $7.4 million was lost to phone scams last year, mostly through "lucky draw scams", where the victim is told he has won a cash prize, only to be swindled into paying other fees. One man lost $784,000.
Separately, more women were molested on public transport last year, going up 34 per cent to 153 cases

You decide for yourself. Some people feel conned, some dont. In the end, its always your own fault. You cant blame others for your own weakness.

    Definition from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confidence_trick

A confidence trick (also known as a scam) is an attempt to defraud a person or group after first gaining their confidence. A confidence artist is an individual operating alone or in concert with others who exploits characteristics of the human psyche such as dishonesty, honesty, vanity, compassion, credulity, irresponsibility, naïveté, or greed.
