I think backpackers would avoid SIA because we all know it is an expensive brand. People who fly SIA are the status conscious & have probably heard that it "used" to be a good airlines

Blunders seem to be common with GLCs & may explain why Spore companies cannot survive outside Spore. SIA was the exception but I guess it has finally joined the other GLCs. :o
This is bad for Sporeans because it is another GLC that we have to support:(

Not sure why people still fly SIA... the stewardesses it hires these days aren't even that attractive. You can see for yourself at the airport lounges.

The flights I take nowadays don't use the same terminal as SIA(T3) so have little opportunity to see the stewardesses. My impression of SIA stewardess are that hey can be pretty but they are mostly fake & superficial. Maybe it is because I am a Sporean & I have met many Spore girls:o

Spore is a very small place & we are exposed all to the same propaganda. It is only when you are older & have seen more of the world that you break out of the Spore mould. Many SIA girls are still fresh & in their limited environment some have yet to develop as adults
