I felt sorry for man who are naive enough to married the china woman for a little money (sometime they deserve to be punish for running into debt or greediness) , when he pass away, the china woman automatically benefit the insurance money and the flat he own. As these group of uneducated man had no idea that the fact when they pass away without a proper "Will", the fake wife will have a hand on his asset, such as insurance and flat, cpf money. sometime, they dont know that they hv DPS n wat it is.
As reported by yr newspaper on last Saturday, a China lady though marriage is fake, in eye of law, is legal n she get to have the share of the HDB flat of a guy who pass away, and the poor mother n sister may hv no place to stay if they are force to sell the HDB flat to pay the china lady her share of the house (since she is not local/PR to own HDB flat)
I hope the Singapore Law will change on this part to protect the family who is a victim of such scam marriage and had benefit those china woman (fake wife/mistress) who had not made any contribution to our economy n yet can enjoy these benefit (insurance money/cpf money/hdb flat) without any effort.
Make it not valid for people who go in fake marriage. how can those woman get a share of one's hard earn money n chase the sporean out of their house jus bec of one stupid mistake made by the man. Govt is well aware that these china woman are out here to get more money from the single man or old lecher. It is so obvious when these china women even bring the old man to CPF board to ask for more info and money.
Govt shd allow the family of these single man or old lecher to appeal not to allow those china women to have a gain of the house, insurance money and cpf money.How many of the families are broken bec of those china women? How can those women so easily get a share of the S'pore hdb flat or insurance money or cpf money when the old lecher or "single" man (who involve in fake marriage/scam) died? The poor ex-wife who slog so hard for the family get nothing? the old lecher even dare to divorce the wife and married those china woman, had even benefit the china lady when he pass away! While the man or old lecher who died without leaving a proper "Will"/nominee for the family, had also benefit those "fake" wife or mistress who wld appear suddenly when the man pass away.
