插鼻孔可以發電？經濟部長沈榮津今（15）日在立法院一席話引發討論。民進黨立委賴瑞隆在質詢時指出，國家需要電力但他看不懂國民黨的能源政策，既反深澳電廠、也反中電北送，又反天然氣三接，卻又唱衰再生能源，問什麼都不要電從哪裡來？沈榮津則回指出，電是大家都需要用的，特別是工商企業和民生用電，如果什麼都不要只能「把插頭插在鼻孔」。
就是這一席「把插頭插在鼻孔」的話，引發熱議，甚至有網友認為這是部長「失言」。對此，沈榮津下午出席企業競爭力論壇時澄清，他只是轉述產業界老闆的無奈心聲，可能是沒有說明清楚，才有這樣的誤會。
他解釋：「因為最近我到中南部去，產業界一直在關心缺電的事情，對燃煤機組有意見、對燃氣也有意見，然後風力發電又有白海豚，太陽光電又有野鳥棲息地的問題，所以在這樣的情況下，幾乎就是捉襟見肘嘛！」他指出，產業界煩惱該怎麼辦，所以他就反問電要從哪裡來，一位企業大老就說：「很簡單阿，插頭拿來就往鼻子裡插嘛，這樣電就來了。」
沈榮津強調是在這樣的背景下，有一位企業家做如此比喻，他才會進行轉述，「就是一種比較輕鬆的互動啦！」否認失言。

Can you generate electricity by inserting your nose? The Minister of Economy, Shen Rongjin, made a discussion in the Legislative Yuan today (15). Larry Rui, a legislator of the DPP, pointed out in the inquiry that the country needs electricity but he does not understand the Kuomintang's energy policy.
