Mr Lee Kuan Yew may not be a sportsman, but his contributions to Singapore are by no means lesser than those illustrious sports men and sports women who did Singapore proud. Mr Lee's contributions and efforts in building Singapore are priceless. No amount of money can even buy his immense sacrifices to build a great and wonderful Singapore. Without him,there will be no Singapore today...no economic growth, no prosperity , no nothing.No millionaires or billionaires or even philanthropists. He created the environment conducive for economic growth.He ensured peace and security for this little red dot. He built this place which became the transport hub, the financial hub, the socio-economic hub and the cross-road hub of the world. He is responsible for the development of Singapore and the miracle of progress of this small little dot.
So, Sir, it is not inappropriate to have our modern world class sports hub to be named LEE KUAN YEW SPORTS COMPLEX.
