Firms to pay heavier price if they don't give locals a fair shot at jobs

Logistics firm charged with falsely declaring it hired fairly

Stiffer penalties for unfair hiring a strong deterrent, say experts

More PMETs to benefit from renewal of skilling programme

fuck lah, this problem has been ongoing for more than a decade.
pap only pay lip service to this problem
they do not want to solve it because if they do, their own property and business investmemts go sour.

Erections in March
Will confirm the actual weekend soon

It'll definitely need to happen during a school holiday. They need the MOE teachers to do their 'NS'.

Also, some schools will be used as polling stations.

KNN in any case also good for adults KNN
Polling Day (for a general election or a presidentialelection) is a public holiday. ... By-elections are not covered under the act. As per public holidays falling on a Saturday, under the Employment Act, employees not required to work on that day are entitled to one day off in lieu or be given one day's pay.

This is also why the Sinkie reservist NS slaves usually don't get mobilized on a weekday.

Sinkees will get some carrots before GE. After GE they will get the big stick.

They have denying these problems for years including the often said that Singaporeans need not be protected from the "first bite" in any jobs. Are they back tracking now? isn't this "election ploy" or another election "marketing" after the votes had been counted back track again & all Stinkerporeans back will be poked & ignored.

A recent sentencing of a Filipino to SEVEN MONTHS imprisonment on using forged qualifications...it dates back to 2017, plus the fact she brought in her daugjhter & her husband here to work on a visit pass etc & the husband was caught &... It is like using a small stick to hunt for snakes in a field overran with tall thick grasses & weeds.

Is this another ploy saying ICA, MOM etc are serious with their checking & sending signals to potential cheaters....how many had been let in here to work, etc on forged documents?...ok lah! they say,,, how to check so many...

But we know how easy it is to obtain forged education documents outside here, never mind naming any countries.

Election is coming don't forget to vote for the PAP, your past present & future, your last decade & many decades to come...PAP is looking after you & you won't be left behind..PAP IS THE BEST.

If you happen to wonder why this isn't done 5 years, 10 years ago..... well that's becos of the way you voted. The bigger the mandate you gave to a single party, the more tone deaf, the more blinkered eyesight that party has. The negative correlation between votes and loss of sensory powers is down to human nature, they can't help themselves. So you have to help yourself out by judiciously using your votes. Now that's called self reliance.
Employers who discriminate against locals when they recruit now face stiffer penalties and could be prosecuted in court if they make false declarations on their hiring considerations.. Read more at straitstimes.com.

Simply tell all Singaporeans how is PAP going to enforce this? That's all.

Any inside info on elections date? knn.. wanna book holidays also have to think so much...

All this tweaking count for nothing - the basic problem is the ease with which even employment tourists can expect to get a job.
Quite easily. They can pretend to post for a couple of weeks, interview the locals and then say they are not suitable. It is all too
subjective. They go through the motions.

As as someone says, just make sure that the vote is the best way to send a message.
