A Singaporean businessman had his car stolen at a Johor Baru car wash while he and his friend were having supper on 13 Dec.

Known only as Mr Neo, the 34-year-old and his friend were driving back from Malacca to Singapore after a business trip on that day.

The pair arrived in JB at about 11.30pm. Mr Neo then drove his brown Mercedes into one of the many car washes along Jalan Datuk Abdullah Tahir.

Mr Neo assumed it was safe to leave his car there, as there were other Singapore-registered cars in the queue there, so he left for supper with his friend, after being given a slip of paper with his car plate number. He was supposed to collect his car later with that slip.

When the pair returned 30 minutes later, a worker at the car wash told Mr Neo his "friend" had already driven the car away, and nobody - except one staff member - had seen the thief driving it away.

Mr Neo demanded to see the car wash owner to no avail, before calling 10 Malaysian friends who came down and ransacked the drawers for the car keys. They could not find the keys.

The police arrived shortly after and questioned both the car wash staff and Mr Neo. Mr Neo then lodged a report at 12.21am.

Malaysian police told The New Paper on Sunday that four men from the car wash were arrested the same night. The four suspects are currently assisting police with investigations.

Ahh.. there is an improvement. At first, i thought that sinkie would go back to sinkieland to make a police report.

Now, they are smarter and make a police report in the respective country.

U will probably pay $500 tip to the car washer to call u when he sees ur car right? Which is a good idea...cept that the car washer is the thief. lol
