It was meant to be a fun night out with his family in Johor Baru.
But Mr Luo Li Fu, 37, ended up dead.
The Singaporean took his Ipoh-born wife, his son, 17, and the son's girlfriend to Plaza Sentosa, a shopping mall in Johor Baru popular with Singaporeans. The family arrived at midnight in Johor Baru yesterday, and went to a nightclub.
He disappeared an hour after they arrived.
When she finally found him, he was unconscious, but breathing.

Was it a robbery gone wrong? Did he collapse from a heart attack? Or was it something more sinister?
Lorry driver Luo Li Fu, 37, died in a Johor Baru nightclub on Saturday night.
His wife and elder son believe Mr Luo was murdered over a drug dispute during an earlier visit about a month ago.
The son, Luo Wei Xiong, 17, told The New Paper that after he found his father lying on the floor, he smashed a glass and yelled at the crowd: "Who hit him? Why did you attack him like this?"
More in The New Paper on Tuesday (May 31).
