THE name of a Singapore tycoon with extensive business interests in Hong Kong, Macau and China has been mysteriously dropped from the Interpol's Red Notice wanted list.

Mr Sukamto Sia, 51, who was born in Indonesia, was wanted by Indonesian police in connection with alleged counterfeiting and forgery, according to the list.

Mr Sia made his fortune in real estate and investments, and had a reported net worth of US$800 million (S$1.1 billion) at his peak.

Mysteriously taken off the list from Interpol?? Is it the work of our police chief not forgetting that he is also the head of Interpol. A word from him can easily remove him off the wanted list. Maybe the guy is still wanted by Indonesia but for some unknown reasons ($$$$ likely) he managed to buy off relationships to get him off the list internationally except Indonesia. As long as he does not travel to Indonesia, he is alright.

I do not think that he does not has a case to answer for the alleged crimes in Indonesia. If so, why was there an application by Indonesia to put him on the Wanted List. Must be serious enough for Indonesia wanting to bring him home to face the charges
