S'pore grapples with low birth rate, integration

The cheap Foreign Trash will soon reach a stage when they find that they can't survive in Singapore with cheap wages. They will thronged the CDC for financial help that eat up into the resources of our fragile society. These group of FT will eventuallly grow old and became another set of Singapore problems - more burden piled up like mountains for the failed immigration policies. Lee Hsien Loong fuck up with no foresight policies have created many woes in the past from his father's time. Thus I don't see any reason how he can make a better future for Singapore, as all he cares is his own greed and let his team of cronies run corrupted unnoticed. Singapore is a failed nation. The people should mourn and not joy until PAP is voted out for good!

The issue is not one of race or ethnicity you twit. :rolleyes:It's all about religion.

More than 80% of Pinoys are catholic.

Are you sure that it was a case of religion:confused:
In those days LKY wanted to maintain Spore's ethnic makeup where chinese were the majority.

That's why most of the early foreigners were Malaysian chinese, then PRC chinese,.....

It is only recently with the troubles caused by the muslims that religion has become an issue.

singaporeans too westernised from watching hollywood movies, youngsters all talk like their idols in western tv series

we need more PRC talent with Confucian values to save our economy, save our future

You're wrong many of the younger generation are watching korean, taiwanes, Japanese programs. Go check yourself at any of the local video shops

When you don't have a strong culture you look outside.

You need to familiarise yourself with the history of your own motherland.

There was nothing wrong with the aim of the policy. What went wrong was that the undesirable segment of the population ignored it completely.

Why weren't they brave enough to tell the 'undesirable segment' the brutal truth? The aim of the policy must be made clear to all instead of leaving it to the undesirable segment to decide. Still call this policy?

Spelling the policy out in black and white would not have gone down at all well with Singapore's neighbors which the country is dependent upon for sustenance.

Political ramifications necessitate the use of diplomatic doublespeak.

Surely there could have been another way to send your message to your 'victims' without offending them and our neighbours. Our Civil Service boasts the best brains and this policy failed!

Yeah the civil servants made a big mistake. They over estimated the intelligence of the electorate by a factor of 2.
