Pictures sent in to citizen journalism website Stomp (The Straits Times Online Mobile Print) show that areas like Orchard Road, Adam Road, Bukit Timah Road, Bedok and Sims Avenue were affected.
Netizen Nadia, who sent in photos of the flood at the junction of Bukit Timah Road and Stevens Road, told Stomp that "all four directions were flooded, and many cars and buses stuck in the middle of the junction, as it was the only dry area."

"This caused a terrible traffic jam to everyone going through Bukit Timah and Stevens Rd," she added.
