Bus driver Zhang Kun said yesterday that he had slammed on his brakes - seconds before the vehicle ploughed through a central divider, killing a passenger.

But for some reason, they did not work, he told The Straits Times.

"The bus suddenly went crazy, and hurtled towards the road barrier," the 39-year-old Chinese national said in Mandarin.

"I didn't know what would happen," he added.

It's nobody's fault.....lets move on. It's the bus own fault....sentence it to the scrap yard.:(

Uncle Kermit, both ah Tiong and smrt no fault. Only passengers and bus on board computer fault. Since bus went crazy, it already ended it's life. The same goes for the passengers. So let move on as govt ministars like to say.

The bus moved on, the victim moved on, so should we.

so someone must be lying... but it will be once in a life time mistake, lets move on

Govt needs to inject another billion or two to bus company to buy more new buses. Huat ah!

now the MSM are really stupid. all brakes in cars and buses have backups system so that if one set fails the other set takes over. that's why you hardly find brake failure accidents nowadays. probability is one in a trillion and if they do occur they usually happen at the start of the journey. How come for this case the brake fails just when he is taking a corner at high speed???? blardy stupid ah tiong's excuse. he probably was gallavanting at the casino overnight, didn't sleep and was speeding taht's why he crash and overtrn the bus. those who use that junction know what I'm talking about. Now an innocent man dies and he dare to talk cock. same for SMRT PR and ST idiots . it is an insult to the dead man

A bus cannot skid and flip if you are not speeding. No 'black ice' on our roads. Even if have, skid only. Flip? Might as well report it was an act of sabotage by unknown person(s) resulting from poor security of premises.

Ah Black, I though a FT killed another FT here.

The next death may be a Sinkie, or someone you know personally. We are endangered by their irresponsible hiring policies.

stay away from sinkies, they are beyond hope.

done that and now live a very happy life.

Why are some sinkies still claim that you are buddies
Why don't you just fuck them off and you yourself fuck off and die

Bus passengers must reflect on the mistakes made here and not be complacent about the bus journeys they make.
