On Jan 10, the Straits Times published a poll of 50 residents from Punggol. This poll is now a subject of an investigation. The poll indicated that the PAP will win with incumbency playing a big part. It was conducted by 3 journalists.

On Jan 19, political analysts from local think tanks, academia and amongst which included those associated with the PAP concluded that a PAP victory was unsure. I revealed that in this forum the same night.

On Jan 21, Elgin Toh, the lead journalist for the poll wrote an excellent article pointing to defeat. It was written in an unusually high brow and academic style and loads of technicality. I was surprised it past the scruitineers.

On the night of Jan 26, within an hour of results being declared, Jeremy Au Yeong authored an online article and the following paragraph appeared.

"For some, the WP victory today had been on the cards since the seat became vacant after the disgraceful exit of former Speaker Michael Palmer last month."

As everyone knows that since Mangogate broke, the term "disgraceful" did not appear in SCM. In fact it carried stories about his honourable conduct in stepping down. Within an hour of the loss, suddenly Palmer conduct is "disgraceful". Why the change?

If you are old enough, you would know that prostitution, the world's oldest profession is not confined to the lower income and whores need not be less qualified academically. One of the most gifted and intelligent child prodigy became a whore in the UK. SPH journalists are no different. These are men and women who are capable of quality journalism but are prepared to prostitute themselves.

I find pseudo intellectuals like GK to be more repulsive. The gift of intellect should be used to uncover the truth and better the lives of your fellow man. It should not be abused to manipulate and deceive people.

On Elgin, I think he got his masterpiece by hanging out at SBF which has grown to become a sort of Casablanca. Kudos to Sam for keeping this asylum open.

Minor footnote: After the WP victory was announced, cheers of joy could be heard throughout many of the HDB heartlands. I am not talking about Hougang or Aljunied but in HDB estates currently held by the PAP. These cheers of joy are typically only heard when a favorite football team scores a winning goal. Among Singaporeans, WP has become this favorite football team.

Cheers were heard all the way north in Woodlands.

Firstly, congrats on the prediction, right down to the spoilt votes. Amazing.

GK has been discredited and does not have the platform to make a difference. She has become a joke and is being panned across the country. Either she has no families or friends or no one amongst them is prepared to say anything. I see these things all the time, parent enrolling a seriously overweight kid for ballet classes, etc.

Yes, on the Malaysia Cup roar. The same sense was evident on Saturday night.
