In 2008z Head of Ren Ci Hospital, the Venerable Shi Ming Yi has been charged with alleged forgery, conspiracy and misuse of funds.

Venerable Ming Yi, who was also former Ren Ci Chairman, was slapped with 10 charges Tuesday morning.

The monk faces four charges under the Penal Code involving two counts of alleged criminal breach of trust.

Shi Ming Yi is a Buddhist monk and former CEO of Ren Ci Hospital who attended Raffles Institution. He is known for both his charitable work, which included raising millions for the hospital, and for being convicted of fraud in 2009.

SPH should "man up" and apologise that their execution in this instance did not meet the standards expected by ST readers and present and past students of ACS, regarding the framing of of the 27 persons wanted by the police. I heard from some of my close friends within our alumni that the person in question was expelled from ACS I for offences committed in school, and only got into our esteemed institution because of his talent in rugby. He did not graduate from the Integrated Programme (IP) offered by the school.
