SPG jailed 19 years, Ah Beng Boyfriend jailed 30 years for death of 4 year old dotter!

If his behavior is good, he can be released earlier. In prison, depending on education level the inmates are paid a small salary for vocation work they do. Some self motivated ones, do part time study inside. Conversion rate to christianity is very high inside. Forgiveness is a very powerful tool. The pastor will hold service every week inside, he gets the credit by delegating the delivery of the promises to Jesus.
No other religion in S'pore has enjoyed the same rate of success in reforming ex-offenders.

Why aren't Shanmugam and Desmond Lee - the respective MHA and MSF ministers in 2020 when Megan died under their watch - apologising?

Masagos has been thrown under the bus. Pui!

Similj is could have done more ? The child is tortured for one year until death. The relevant govt bodies and agencies are all sleeping. The minister for Family and Social Development should at the very least resign , and we are not calling out to him to harakiri.

Even 10 days at NS ICT was far too long for me. I cannot imagine 30 years in Changi Prison. I would rather die than be imprisoned for such a long time. The outside world will be unrecognisable.
That’s 20 years he’ll be out when he’s 58
Whole life that’s about it
No longer a threat and useless to society

The pastor is there in volunteering basis? Maybe he get release like after 10 years who knows.

Yeah. But the child is 4 or 5 years old. She won’t know what is CYPA, she won’t even know what abuse is because she grew up being punched, wacked and starved. It’s very sad that no one looked into it especially the police officers and the agencies.

Why has nobody been fired or punished for this lapse and oversight? This is the reason for the lapse in the first place. All complacent until death occurs, and then play innocent remorse. Fucking wayang at its best.
The police IO and her superiors should be fired. The MSF should have a case officer which also quiet?Did the IO resigned? She should be held accountable. Resignation only shows the IO only cares about her own rice bowl and don’t care about putting the child as a Low risk

The pastor is there in volunteering basis? Maybe he get release like after 10 years who knows.
The church prison ministry in S'pore provides religious and social support to inmates, ex-offenders and their families during and after imprisonment. There are chapel services and Bible study in prison, support like counselling and job placement, family programs aimed at them not returning to a life of crime. It is a partnership between churches, volunteers and the Prison Service to rehabilitate ex-offenders. Pastors volunteer their time and effort outside of their regular job to serve in this ministry.

Darren Tan was a former drug addict who once struggled to speak English. He is now a successful lawyer who is a powerful reminder of the impact Jesus can have in helping even ex-offenders transform their lives and become useful members of society.

Her biological father also has a moral responsibility to bear for the child's eventual death. Why didn't he take custody of his daughter, or at least share the custody with his ex-wife with weekly or monthly visits? Except for the child's grandmother, no one else involved towards her death can be neither pardoned nor forgiven.

In addition, those bloody useless police and CPS officers involved in this case, must definitely be disciplined appropriately and given mandatory corporal punishments for their lapses in their line of duty. Just remuneration cut penalties and resignations will not cause them to feel remorse.
Yes. Report their names out and which department and police divisions do they work at. Resignation does not allowing these people to take accountability

This might even encourage their colleagues and groom the bad culture to think any one will be let off the hook for any lapse during their line of duty

Their lawyers succeeded in pleading for lessen sentences. I hope inmates in changi prison can take turn to abuse and humiliate the fucker Wong day and night.
Wong will sleep next to the toilet bowl in his prison cell

I believe the IO is not entirely at fault. When police received such case, most of the time it is related to child discipline issue. This one happened to be one of the exceptions. The fault is wrong assessment.

Ok. But she didn’t help to raise an investigation when the girl’s grandma filed a police report.
