Italy used to play like this. Until a scandal Broke that destroyed it's football Federation. Not a football fan but observing the way Spain play football, they are very defense oriented. Many players just come down to guard their goal pole.
I presume that if Spain scored, they will guard their pole even more aggressively, the opponent got no chance at all.
That's because they cheated their way to the finals
The ultra defensive Italy was replaced by a potent attack led by Paolo Rossi in 1982 that won the World Cup. The beat Argentina 2-1, Brazil 3-2, Poland 2-0 and Germany 3-1 in the final. The current team has not been able to qualify for the past 3 World Cups.Italy used to play like this. Until a scandal Broke that destroyed it's football Federation.
Argentina believe that aggressive and underhanded play is acceptable because the ends justify the means. However, they would not have made it to the World Cup Final without help from the referees and FIFA.That's because they cheated their way to the finals
When is FIFA going to punish Argentina?

I was referencing the "Las Malvinas son Argentinas" ("The Falklands are Argentine") banner displayed by Argentine players following their semi-final win over England. Under IFAB rules and FIFA's stadium code of conduct (Article 34.3 of the Match Protocol), equipment, paraphernalia or displays carrying political, religious, or personal slogans/statements are strictly prohibited inside stadiums. Why is FIFA choosing to look the other way? There seems to be 1 standard for Argentina and another for the rest of the countries at this World Cup.Punish for what? Stop listening to this pro-Palestine turd from Egypt.![]()
Argentina should not be in the final at all if not assisted by the referee when vs. Egypt.Glad the best team wins.
Then should be dis-qualified and England becomes 2nd and France 3rd....Argentina should not be in the final at all if not assisted by the referee when vs. Egypt.
