Chinese cars? If you can’t beat them, join them.
Hyundai has confirmed its Elexio EV is coming to Australia early next year; a mid-size SUV developed under the Korean brand’s “In China, For China, To Global” strategy.

This makes Hyundai the latest mainstream car maker to lean on a Chinese alliance to supply Aussies with EVs.


Last week Mazda confirmed its China-developed 6e electric sedan was Australia-bound, while Hyundai’s sister brand Kia already sells its EV5 SUV here, which hails from Kia’s Yancheng plant in Jiangsu Province.
