<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->PASSENGERS boarding bus service 77 at Bukit Batok Interchange set a classic example of how ungracious we are.

Railings are provided for passengers to form a queue. However, they choose to crowd outside. When the bus driver enters the bus and starts the engine, all hell breaks loose and everyone surges to the door, leaving those in the queue to be the last to board. It makes those who queue look rather silly for doing so.
What puzzles me is the fact that passengers in other queues, for example, for services 947 and 61, do not behave this way. No matter how many passengers are waiting for these buses, most will join the queue for an orderly boarding when the bus arrives.
Although security guards are seen to be on patrol, they do not seem to be interested in intervening. There must surely be a manager in charge; he should leave his office once in a while to check on things and run the place better. Thomas Lee

If you want to compare Singapore with India, start off with the ministers pay first.
