STOMPer Kelvin was annoyed to see these uncles and aunties using all sorts of things, including their umbrellas and newspaper to catch the glitter from the God of Fortune at the River Hongbao 2011 at The Float at Marina Bay over the weekend.

Said the STOMPer:

"I was at River Hongbao 2011 at The Float @ Marina Bay and saw these aunties and uncles using their umbrellas, shawls and newspaper to catch glitter falling from the fortune god.

"Some auntie was even used a paper fan to scoop glitter on the ground.

"We Singaporeans have become another joke to foreigners once again."

They just getting into the spirit of things and having a good time. Clearly our stomper did not. Maybe he was unable to get any glitter?

Honestly it's all in good fun. It's not like they were beating up each other to get it.
