Men Who Gang Raped Delhi Woman Say They Did It To Teach Her 'Moral Lesson' Of Not Going Out Alone

Cases of gang rapes are on the rise, and rape survivors remain scarred for life with the heinous act committed with them. However, have you heard of anyone who raped a woman and then gave her a lecture on morals?
In one such case, two men were arrested for gang-raping a 19-year-old saleswoman from Gurgaon had offered to drive the survivor home and even counselled her not to venture out alone at night and avail cabs.
Police sources said they tracked down the men within 12 hours of the crime with the help of two digits on the car's number-plate that the survivor had managed to recall. She had also accompanied the police team to the crime scene where some crucial leads were found.
The accused, Sumit (24) and Bidur Singh (18), had parked the car at Singh's house, washed it and then left for a relative's house. Police approached the transport departments of three states with the description of the car and the two digits, and identified the car with the help of a logo affixed on the windshield, which the survivor had described as seeing.

The duo said during interrogation that they decided to rape the woman after another passenger got down at Rajokri. They then took a detour towards Kapashera, telling the woman that they had to withdraw money to refuel. They parked the car near an ATM and plotted what route to take to rape her.
They threatened to shoot her, drove to a secluded spot and raped her. Thereafter, they dropped her at Dwarka Sector 21 metro station.
