[h=2]SMRT staff asks commuter to delete photos he took[/h]

Passengers travelling on a SMRT train from Woodlands to the city on North-South Line yesterday evening (2 Mar), may have noticed some wooden pieces on the tracks.
When CNA made enquiries with SMRT on the matter, a SMRT spokesman told CNA that the plywood, which is the hoarding to mark out the walkway for workers during sleeper replacement works, had fallen from the track walkway onto the track due to heavy rain and wind yesterday evening.
The spokesman added that the trains were still safe for operations but were delayed as the SMRT staff had to remove the plywood.
A netizen, Edward Tan, took some pictures of the scene.
However, the interesting thing is that Mr Tan told CNA that SMRT staff had actually asked him to delete the photos. However, he kept 5.
The question is, why did SMRT ask Mr Tan to delete those photos?
Does SMRT have any jurisdiction over personal handphones and cameras?
