A Melbourne woman has been sexually assaulted then robbed by a young skateboarder in a South Melbourne car yard.
The 24-year-old woman was approached by the man as she walked along Kings Way between 2.30am and 3am on December 7.
He introduced himself and attempted to strike up a conversation.
The woman was on the phone at the time and sat down on a fence outside a car dealership to continue her conversation.
Police say the man then allegedly crept up behind her and grabbed her, dragging her to the ground and sexually assaulting her between new cars in the dealership.
He then stole her credit card and fled.
Police have described the man as being aged in his late teens or early 20s, about 165cm tall, of slim build with an olive complexion and scruffy brown hair.
He spoke with an accent and was wearing a black baseball cap with a B or D motif, light-coloured sports hoodie and was carrying a large skateboard with black and green colouring.
