A 23-year-old man went under the knife to alter his appearance six times after his girlfriend dumped him in 2009, Guang Ming Daily reported.
He was heart-broken when the woman found faults with the way he looked, prompting him to go for plastic surgery for the first time in March 2009.
“I am satisfied with my appearance now but there is still room for improvement,” said the man who received nose jobs and eyelid surgery.
His former girlfriend could not even recognise him when they met in 2011, two years after they broke up.
“We are friends now,” he said, adding that he had spent RM50,000 for the plastic surgeries.
> Kwong Wah Yit Poh reported that a man brutally hit his six-year-old daughter to force his former wife to return money to him in Xiapu, China.
The daughter, who lived with him, was seriously injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital on Aug 27. Her condition was reportedly stable.
His ex-wife said they had lent 30,000 yuan (about RM16,000) to a person before they divorced and that they were supposed to share the money once the person returned the money.
“He forced me to give his share to him but the person has not returned the money to me,” she said.
Previously, the woman wanted to bring her daughter back but the man threatened to kill her whole family if she did so.
According to sources, the man also forced the girl to beg on the street and would hit her if she could not get any money.
The man has been detained.
