Twice, a STOMPer received 'Private & Confidential' letters which were misdelivered to his unit. SingPost has taken note and says it will step up the monitoring of the mail delivery performance of that area.

Receiving wrongly-delivered letters happens frequently for STOMPer Zac, who says it happens at least once a month. The Bedok North resident had to hand-deliver the letters and has made complaints to the post office.

The SingPost spokesperson writes in an email (Sep 15):

"We thank STOMPer Zac for his feedback, "Postman wrongly delivers 'Private & Confidential' letters to my unit -- twice” (11 September 2010, STOMP).

"We regret to learn that STOMPer Zac has received misdelivered mail. We have tried to contact him for more information.

"Without the cover, we are unable to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the cause of misdelivery as there are a number of factors that could have attributed to it such as wrong address, oversight by postman, delivery done by other hand delivery agents etc.

"We invite the STOMPer Zac to contact us with more details for us to conduct a more thorough investigation. He may write to us at www.singpost.com/contactus.

"Meanwhile, we will be stepping up our monitoring of the mail delivery performance of the area closely."

Looks like we need some FW postmen instead of the current temp staff they're using.
