Hi there,
I have engaged the services of Speedpost ems for delivery to Italy on 29th May. Promised delivery was 8 working days and till date I am being treated like a ball that is being passed around.
As usual the complaints are ‘parcel not arriving on time’ and ‘these documents are important’. Which is why a courier service was engaged.
Managers are incompetent if they cannot give me concrete answers even after 3 working days.
The recipient of this parcel is getting upset and so am I. The promised delivery date has not been fulfilled.
I paid so much for a speedy delivery as I was hoping the recipient would receive it before departing from Italy.
All they did was to indicate expedited delivery but I doubt that’s the case.
I even had to make a call to Italian customs myself to enquire about the parcel. As expected the parcel was delivered via TNT, a 3rd-party and thus there was no trace.
Should all these not be their job to do so?
They are giving me excuses that they are unable to contact TNT.
Managers who promised a call back have yet to return my call. It is always ME who have to take the initiative to call them. Today the manager promised a call back at 6pm but I received NO calls even after 6pm. She went off home.
The customer service officer gave wrong information and informed me the parcel was on its way.
One of them, KIMERICK, hung up the phone on me. That was very rude and disappointing.
Such a shame with these services Speedpost is providing its customers, I am sincerely looking for a relevant body who can escalate a solution to this issue. It is extremely unfair to consumers who have paid for such services.
In the parcel was a gift meant for my mother for her birthday and Speedpost’s incompetence has caused the delivery not to be done in time for my mother’s birthday. It’s very disheartening.
Thanks.

Esther

SingPost is more concerned with its remittance service for FTs than the delivery of snail mail and parcels.

If you have something really urgent to deliver, pay a little more and use Fedex or one of the Japanese courier services.

Their counters are understaff, they sell everything from cookies to thumb drive, insurance, & so far , no condoms. I often collect my registered mail & EMS from a certain post office, for I am not in, when the item arrive. As always, the queue to collect a parcel, letter etc...wind out of the P.O. like a snake. There is only one counter staff in attendance, she process, registered articles, parcels, people like me collecting their mail or parcel. At any opening hour, you are 15 person in the queue, it gets slower, when it reached lunch hour between 11.30 to 2pm. There are 6 counters there, at any one time, two persons are at that the two counter & 1 at the parcel/registered mail/collection & despatch. That is the parcel etc counter.

The other counters, does almost everything conceivable by SINgPOST management, the queue is just as long, at any one time, you can be 10-15 person in that queue. You have the domestic help sending Western Union...& they are in the Q, ahead of you.....your wait is half an hour or more.

Concerning Western Union remittances service, I do remit through wester union at the P.O., but what I cannot understand is, there is nothing they want to do, to speed up the service. They give you a form to fill asking you for reason, why you are remitting money, you already have a REGISTERED W U card, they will photo copy that card with your ID, then print out the receipt, ( the entire P.O. have only one printer), then they have to key in this, key in that....on screen. By the time you get your WU receipt, in which you have to sign too. The process takes 10-15 minuets, can you imagine you have 10 maids in front of you...You ask, what the bloody hassle in all these paperwork, they say, it is M.A.S. requirement. ( you go western u office, they don't do as described).

Then they have people making payments for all sorts of government services, pay bills, even collect passport etc..Two counters, like I have said...you are in the queue, one go for lunch....you wait even longer.

There are machines in the P.O., in fact, two SAM's ( self automated machine) in the P.O., people still use the payment counter & these machines are seldom used. The reason why....goto the P.O. & observe.

The Post Office, is not interested in improving their customer services at the P.O., for that, is no longer their core business, they are interested in the non-core business to generate income, to please their shareholders.

Customer Services at the Post Offices....is , we don't care, you die your business...btw, I have stepped into the P.O. & two counters are operating...

singpost?

delivery to india and phillipines no problem,,,,,

other than that, your thing lost your business,,,,,

Should have use TNT courier service directly .

It may be cheaper through Singpost. Singpost acts like a consolidator and it negotiates very attractive rates that cannot be achieved by most companies. Singpost than takes a lion's share and past some small savings to you.

What good are cheaper rates when they can't even deliver your stuff on time?

DHL is good. tah q bin for local delivery in singapore. You should have named the services.

If you want to get fucked up service nevermind the cheapness use singpost.

You know when you buy items from websites say maybe ebay when they use their national mailing service to send items to you it will be obvious singpost will be doing the delivery and hence the delay. It is best you contact the seller and insist they use dhl, fedex, ali baba anything other than singpost. Insist on it even if they don't have an option to select it and if they won't do it don't buy from them. Very important here. It just sucks that some sites don't allow different delivery options. Iherb for one allows different options of delivery and i never use singpost.

Aiyah. I am only saying it in general that it may be cheaper with Singpost tham going direct. Singpost can easily achieve 70% to 80% discount off published rates.

For the lost cargo, the screw up could be on Singpost end, for example, the airway bill filled wrongly, wrong declaration, etc... and it got stopped by customs or such. If Singpost has a new hire or some part-time staff who has no idea on how to fill in the details, you are fucked.

Although TNT is not as big as Fedex or DHL, they still have a very respectable global market share. Their system would be quite efficient.

When you order from iHerb, the cheapest option($4) is delivery by Singpost. However they have a special arrangement with Singpost. Singpost will deliver at about 5pm in the afternoon. They use independant contractors & not through the usual postman deliveries.

I think the delivery from the US to Spore is by DHL. On the Spore side the delivery is handles by Singpost. It only takes 6 to 7 days for an order to arrive. Obviously Singpost can do a decent job if there is $ in it.

Sharing my experience when using Vpost and Comgateway when buying stuff from amazon.com

Vpost: When the courier wants to make delivery to your residence, they 100% do not call you to make sure you are at home before making delivery. 99.99% they will try to deliver when people are working and you have to go to nearest post office to collect the item next working day after 2pm. If your item was scheduled to deliver on Friday and you werent home to receive it, tough luck then, you have to wait till monday to go to nearest P.O to collect. If on that day you call them to re-arrange a night delivery, impossible.. ask the operator to give the courier a call to deliver again, impossible.. ask the operator for the courier phone number so that you can call him and go meet him, also impossible. FYI, the courier is only responsible for a certain area within an estate. Therefore, if you stay Bt Batok, and you missed the courier.. that guy is for sure making delivery in Bt. Batok, near your estate. The most tulan part is, when you know the day of delivery and you call the operator to ask the estimated time of delivery, it will be between 10am to 6pm.. KNN.. might as well dont say..

CGW: They will send either via DHL or Fedex. DHL you can arrange for night-delivery if you missed it during the day, so you can be assured you will get the parcel on the same day. Fedex and DHL will let you know the time slot of delivery down to 2-3 hours, so you can make yourself available during that time to wait.

Speedpost worldwide: You send the package to overseas, they give you a tracking number and from then on, only god knows what is happening to your parcel. Even after recipient received it, the status will still be the same. If you send foodstuff, i think after the recipient eat and shit it out, the status still same... For me, i sent back a RMA to amazon and only after amazon sent me a confirmation that they received the faulty item then i know they received it. Speedpost Worldwide still never update.

I just bought something via vpost yesterday. They did not even give me my 15% welcome discount. I am lucky to be at home when they delivered the parcel or else it's self collection. Their call center is stuffed full with pinoys who don't answer your question but threathen not to ship your parcel if it's within their fine print list of unauthorized goods. Please go to borderlinkz or hopshopgo who use DHL and won't give you problems. My package is 499g but they declare as 1kg so I got to pay more.

With DHL you can also track online the progress of the parcel from pickup, their distribution centre, when it reaches HK,... right up to when it land in Spore & handed to the delivery person. With this info I can tell when I should be at home to receive the package.

Exactly, packages from USA to SG using DHL will transit at Hong Kong and the following day you can expect the parcel to reach you most of the time. Vpost tracking is always "In process".. even up till you receive the package, it is not update in real-time..

Last week I received a package from the US. Unlike in the past, this time they made a stop in Korea before going to HK. However I still got my package with 4 days.
