Since both Cooleo and KNNBCCB are in this thread, I would like to share an interesting discovery.
Was going through my personal contacts list which includes friends only. Does not inlcude work related, bank or insurance related, acquaintances, other organizations, etc.
Singkie Chinese: male and female
Singkie Malay: male and female
Singkie Indian: male only :o
Singkie Eurasian: male and female
PRC Chinese: male and female, but all based in China!
India Indians: ZERO!

Those guys are nice chaps, some from school, some from army, some from work. Some even more helpful than the Chinese friends.
PRC nationals, as I said earlier, difficult to find pleasant, sincere and cultured from those who come here. There are plenty of good prc nationals who stay in China and work hard for a living.
Stay clear of these contacts and you should be fine
