Which ter nao sinkie asked those 2 stupid questions?
Need investigation to find root cause?

Fucktard sinkie is asking, where is the transport minister? Technically speaking, we don't have one. But we do have someone who's only acting like one, and who's more interested in playing soccer and collecting his obscene paycheck by playing keyboard warrior.

all the jobless Sinkies at home velly happy and laugh.................:laugh::laugh:

It's only common that machines are subjected to environments and load circumstances. will suffer from wear and tear. Just look at one's new and expensive precious car and one will realize the truth when it breaks down even the next day, more so China made EV cars....

1.The construction of the MRT systems are based upon tender bids, which often, only the companies that can offer the quality of the top bidder but at the lowest price will win the tender, in order to SAVE TAXPAYERS funds that contributes to such construction projects.

However the most expensive may not be the best and equally, the cheapest may not be the worse.

2. Ultimately, track records and even testing of bidders proposed system - from the wires to even seats used, are rigorously conducted, so as to achieve transparency and full knowledge are acquired before inking on the dotted line of a contract.

HOWEVER, testing of such systems are never full proof, as bidders will be using NEW equipment, that HAD NOT BEEN SUBJECTED to environments of wear and tear, but perhaps thru scientific means using computer models to simulate such ON PAPER.

3. Thus, as said, NO man made machine is perfect nor tests.

4. MORE CRITICALLY - Singapore is a KIASU society. Although faults occur as it would naturally do and comes with EARLY WARNING SYSTEMS, MOST Station managers, engineers and SMRT management would NOT HESITATE TO STOP the line immediately, to rectify the faults ASAP, THAN to ALLOW IT TO CONTINUE RUNNING until when the MRT systems are closed for the night to do repairs.

Such is to SAVED LIVES as prevention is better than cure. No mortal can ever predict the future, not even the next second...

5. Thus, what would citizens and passengers prefer - to take a CHANCE with one's precious life for the lines to continue out of one's personal convenience, or to allow repair works to be done immediately and ASAP with minor conveniences, more so when shuttle bus services are mandated, unlike other nations and Singapore is probably the ones doing this for passengers?

It is comprehensible and only common in Humankind, to get home on time to see loved ones and for work to put food on the table for oneself and loved ones...BUT always, ALWAYS, and PROVEN, it is better to be late due to circumstances beyond one's ability to control....than.....never.......

The extreme heat and humidity can screw up the electronics and wear down parts.
Power and signalling equipment is housed in aircon rooms except for those on the track that's exposed to high temperature but the trains generate wind when they pass at full speed
