Sinkie tries to rob goldsmith shop

A 44-year-old man allegedly tried to rob a goldsmith store at Vista Point in Woodlands on Wednesday. He had grabbed a stool and smashed a display glass panel which contained gold bangles and chains.

On hearing the ruckus. the store's 61-year-old manager came out of his office, grabbed another stool and chased the man out of the store.

Then he, with the help of a security guard and a passer-by, detained the man until the police arrived to arrest him.
