Sinkie on trial for misusing photo of former minister

Man on trial for photoshopping former minister

A former engineer with Singapore Technologies Kinetics went on trial on Wednesday for posting Facebook entries inciting violence.

36—year—old Gary Yue Mun Yew posted a doctored photograph of a Vietnamese soldier executing former Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng, with a gun held to his head.

Yue had downloaded a photograph of a Vietnamese general executing a Viet Cong guerilla, and replaced the face of the guerilla with that of Mr Wong’s.

The same picture was used as Yue’s Facebook profile pic, which Yue claimed he had changed after a week.

Yue also posted a link to a video clip depicting the assassination of former Egyptian president, Muhammad Anwar al—Sadat on the Facebook page of socio—political site The Temasek Review.

He followed up with a comment calling for a re—enactment during the 2010 National Day Parade.

The court was told Yue made the postings from his home at Marine Drive, between July and August 2010.

Yue claimed he did it out of frustration with work, and in response to online comments about national issues, including the escape of Jemaah Islamiah fugitive Mas Selamat Kastari.

His lawyers, Mr Sreenivasan and Mr S Balamurugan from Straits Law Practice, added that Yue had no intention to incite violence, nor was there any likelihood of violence being incited.

Yue, who has been terminated from his job after he was charged in August last year, has since written an apology letter to Mr Wong.

The verdict will delivered on 16 February.

wow lan. 36years old already looked so old?? so much hair gone too.

Stress and unhealthy lifestyle habits in Sinkieland.

Also, it may be partly genetic. If your father was balding at a young age chances are you will too.

Lastly, leaving a bald(ing) patch on is ugly and shows laziness. Go for proper treatment by a doctor, or shave that shit off.

Bald men can be sexy too.

Again, the authorities in Nanny-State are overreacting to harmless jokes and jests.

Who was hurt in the case? How many people have viewed the doctored pics. Did this guy go out of his way to distribute slanderous stories of his victim? Or was it some funny (albeit tasteless) pranks convenient done to entertain oneself and friends? The court should throw the case out.

In developed countries, top leaders should have developed maturity and be able to laugh at themselves.

Peesai can forget about ever having a free press with this kind of intolerant "leaders."

Cheers!

In Singapore, pappies are protected species.
Photoshopping WKS's face onto a Viet Cong execution is like drawing satire comic of the Thai king in Thailand, or doing a caricature of Prophet Muhammad in an Islamic country.

The devils in white of the Lightning Clan are royalty, masters and gods. To 'incite violence' onto them is sacrilege.

In fact, with the obscenely high pay, they should be prepared to take an egg or shoe in the face. Take it with a smile, it's an occupational hazard of a politician.

On the contrary, social acquaintances are just like skin cells or certain household items: the old ones eventually have to be discarded and be replaced by new ones. Or you can make do with less clutter.

Some friends will stick around for life, but most others will fade into a distant memory. This is normal and natural.

The greatest challenge in life is to know when to let go.

You read too deep into it. For most people like me, its not about trying to get back for old times sake but merely to see how others we used to know are coping. No biggie.

If only Gary yue had made more constructive use of his time in office, he would have designed more world class weapons in ST kinetics. Instead of be charged in court now.

The laws of Singapore are generally wide in terms of interpretation and favours the authorities. The Judges also tend to rely on the wisdom of parliament and seldom interpret it contrary to what the State puts forward. A lot then falls on the shoulders of good lawyers. And there are not many around that will fight on ethics and natural justice alone. Its all fine and good when such power reside in a benevolent govt but open to wide abuse with no safety valve.

Then a lot of people also jialut. Look around the avatars at the online forums. PAP going to pass a new "no using of minister photo law"?

I doubt you will find many fans of WKS in Sporeans. Even his supporter will turn on him once LKY is gone.

Maybe they are afraid that this guy's actions might trigger a revolt like what happened in the Middle east. The autumn uprising was triggered by the actions of a single person. What he did sparked the anger of the lesser mortals. I'm sure many Sporeans regret voting for the PAP;)

In arse tight Singapore, no joking around man. Look at the faces of the Ministers, they all look all pent up, frustrated and like they all need a good wank to lighten up.

Obviously they are just using this guy as a warning to the online community.

Re: Man on trial for photoshopping former minister

Stress & a bad diet.

I used to have a bald spot until I started watching my diet & the bald spot disappeared:)

What did you start/stop eating? Please share.

Also, I heard that standing upside-down on your arms and letting the blood flow into your head is great for reversing baldness.

If you can't balance well, rest your legs against a wall for support.

There are many types of hair loss. You need to determine your type before sorting it out. For example receding hair line vs balding spot. Typically balding is a combination of reasons and no one size fits all. Could be a combination of poor diet, stress, lack of sleep, lousy shampoo that cause oil and dirt to build it or build up of DHT.

Sorry I don't really know what I ate to improve my bald spot  I only found about the improvement in my 40's when the girl I went to for my regular massage commented that my bald spot had improved. The spot bald spot is at the top of my head & not something I can see:o

For years I thought that the balding was an unavoidable & a genetic problem. For me it started when I was in my late 20's when a hairdresser commented about my balding spot.

Only suggestion I have is to ensure you have a proper diet e.g. take multi-vitamins & watch what you eat. Be careful of what hair products you use as some products are known to cause hair to fall. Of course hair problems might be genetic problem but you never know:)
