HULU TERENGGANU: A Singaporean man was injured when the luxury sports car he was driving plunged off a cliff and crashed into a 15-metre-deep ravine along Jalan Aring-Kenyir here, on Saturday.
The driver, identified as Ong Hong Woon, 45, broke his left shoulder in the 9am accident.
It is learnt that despite fair weather conditions, Ong lost control of his Porsche, which skidded to the side of the road before plunging into the ravine.
“The victim was en route from Dungun to Gua Musang when the accident occurred.
“Aside from a broken shoulder, the victim also broke some of his teeth and suffered injuries to his mouth,” said Hulu Terengganu police chief Deputy Superintendent Adli Mat Daud.
He added that Ong was rushed to the Kuala Terengganu Specialist (KTS) hospital for treatment, and that the accident is under investigation.
