In just two weeks, six corpses have been found. inSing does a roundup on the latest gory cases so far.
On 20 June, a lower half of a body was found at Bedok Reservoir. The corpse is suspected to be that of Chinese national Lin Xiao, 23, who went missing on 28 April.
On 22 June, a man’s body was found in Punggol River. The man has been identified to be Lim Ong Sai, 83.
A 49-year-old Chinese woman’s body was found under the Helix Bridge near Marina Bay Sands on 1 July.
Skeletal remains of an unidentified person were discovered next to Tanah Merah MRT station a day later on 2 July.
The body of Radin Bahrom Radin Mohd Din, 38, was found in the waters in front of VivoCity on 3 July.
Finally, just three days ago, a decomposed body was found along Clementi Rd.
Singapore has been known to be a safe city to live in, but with the rise of unnatural deaths, we should not be taking this perceived safety for granted.
